Embracing accomplishments
The beginning of your career journey is when you open yourself up to embracing new opportunities. You can explore what works best for you and the best skills you have. Ankitha started working with Specbee at the very beginning of her career and about 4 years here now, she has never failed to give her 100% to what she is best at - Drupal. She’s an Acquia-certified Drupal 9 developer and has made tons of contributions to Drupal and continues to inspire the team with her extraordinary performance at work.
Just like everybody else, even I had dreams about what and how my first job would be like. I still remember my first day at Specbee, I was excited and super nervous at the same time. But I sure was determined to give my best during this important phase of my life. I had a strong desire to learn and get recognized, and I was positive that Specbee was the ideal place for me. I feel lucky to have kick-started my career journey with Specbee and am glad to be part of this wonderful family.
When you joined Specbee, what were your expectations?
I joined Specbee as a Fresher right after completing my graduation. At that point in my life, I didn’t have too many expectations! I accepted the opportunity flowing my way and was grateful to join the Specbee family. With the hope of a good learning experience, support from the team, and better opportunities, I started my journey here at Specbee. And I was not disappointed. I started from scratch here, and have always received full support from my mentors.
How would you describe your career growth here?
I loved what I was doing, and every challenge that came along with my work. I was introduced to Drupal at Specbee for the very first time. In the early days of my career, Specbee gave me a chance to present at DrupalCamp Atlanta 2021. This opportunity allowed me to gain valuable experience and exposure in my field.
Holding on to this confidence, I seized the opportunity to conduct Specbee's first webinar (WebX) readily and gave it my all. My peers and my mentors have always encouraged me, and that has given me the courage to keep embracing different challenges in my field, which helped me reach this point in my career.
What is the impact of this growth on your personal development?
Various experiences and learnings that I have picked up over time have helped me evolve both professionally and personally. I have learned to be more patient with people, understand their requirements, and work as a team, bringing out the best version of myself.
I believe this is just the beginning for me and there is still a long way to go!
In your opinion, what does success look like?
Different people have different take on success. Every new skill I learn, and every goal I achieve on a given day accounts as success to me, regardless of how small or big it may be. There's nothing quite like the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction you feel at the end of a productive day.
